For a fascinating demonstration, try our unique mounted blowgun that fires a projectile at a moving target (a metal can). The can is suspended at an elevated point by an electromagnet connected in a circuit with the blowgun. The blowgun, on a stand several meters away, is aimed at the suspended can, and loaded with a steel ball. As soon as the ball is fired the circuit is broken, and the target starts falling. If the blowgun is correctly aimed at the can, the ball will strike it, since both fall equally under gravity. The blowgun can be operated with compressed air or lung power. The complete kit includes steel ball projectile, electromagnet, target can, all hardware necessary for suspending the electromagnet and mounting the blowgun, plus complete operating instructions. You need to supply a power source capable of delivering 6V at 5A , a support stand, rod and clamp.
