Robust, High-Performance Loudspeaker with Wide Frequency RangeA versatile and rugged loudspeaker allows you to carry out physical acoustics experiments in both the audible and ultrasonic ranges, with an output range of 4kHz to 40kHz. Using a normal signal generator, it requires only small power inputs without additional amplification. A 4Vrms input produces a sound pressure of 100db 500mm away from the loudspeaker. The loudspeaker can tolerate signals of 15Vrms continuously or 35Vrms intermittently. Output varies by only +/- 3db over the frequency range. The loudspeaker's directional characteristic is cardioid, producing highly directional sound without the need for a parabolic mirror. It’s conveniently mounted on a 10mm-diameter stand rod and has standard 4mm input jacks. Includes instructions. Height: 30cm. Requires Function Generator to produce signals and Saddle Base for support, both sold separately.
