For Precise Pressure/Volume Measurements at Constant TemperatureThis device yields accurate quantitative results for the pressure/volume relationship of air at constant temperature. A graduated cylinder with a closely fitting piston is connected to a large diameter pressure gauge by a narrow tube to minimize dead volume. A screw valve allows the cylinder to communicate with the outside air to adjust the mass of air enclosed. The 4-inch diameter gauge is graduated in N/cm2, and the entire apparatus is 35cm long.
