Rotating Platform
|
This low profile platform provides a low friction rotating surface for demonstrating experiments in angular momentum and rotational kinetic energy. Students can stand on the platform while holding our Bicycle Wheel Gyroscope for a first-hand experience of gyroscope forces. Or they can use a pair of dumbbells to gain an immediate experience with centripetal force and conservation of momentum. Two 29cm particle board discs separated by steel ball-bearing raceway make up the platform. Features anti-slip facing on both surfaces for stability during rotation. Supports up to 200 lbs.
