Dial Gauge Linear Expansion Apparatus

Keep students interested in linear expansion experiments. The indicator on this apparatus reads directly to 0.01mm. Consists of a steam jacket with a test rod 60cm long, support assembly and dial indicator. One end support holds the rod firmly in place while the other end support has a bracket for clamping the dial indicator against the end of the rod. Dial can be set to a convenient starting value. The dial gauges spring mechanism holds the plunger in contact with the rod. Set includes apparatus, one each steel, aluminum, brass and copper rods; instructions. Size: 77cm x 10cm x 11.5cm, uses 6mm ID tubing. Rubber tubing and thermometer not included. Also requires steam generator, not included.
