Cast from a select natural bone specimen for unparalleled realism, this skull is extremely true to life with many unique dentition features. Individual teeth are shown with complete roots, each tooth in its own socket, unlike the set of fused dentures found in other synthetic skulls. An exclusive hinged flap in the right mandible swings open to expose the roots of the permanently anchored two premolars and first two molars in their sockets, plus an impacted wisdom tooth. All the remaining teeth in the upper and lower jaws are secured in their sockets with a permanently-flexible cement which allows you to extract teeth individually for thorough examination, and then easily reinsert them. Once replaced in their sockets, teeth will not fall out, yet the unprecedented extraction procedure can be repeated numerous times. Detachable springs also permit natural articulation of the mandible. The jaw is removable and the sectioned calvaria detaches to access the neuro-cranium. Includes a key identifying structures.
