Everything necessary for students to observe and plot magnetic fields around horseshoe and bar magnets. A classical experiment every student should perform. A set for every two students is recommended. Includes nonmagnetic, sheet metal magnet board; glass plate; iron filings; horseshoe magnet and a pair of bar magnets. The magnet board holds either type of magnet in proper position under the glass plate (if preferred, small tacks or a magnetic compass can be used on paper). Two clips hold the glass plate in position.
