The Closed Case Form Electroscope is an economical, sturdy workhorse for student labs.

The enclosed case prevents air currents from affecting the deflection of the leaves. Leaves are a combination of gold and aluminum developed to provide strength without sacrificing sensitivity. Each leaf is suspended from two small hooks, making installation simple. The leaves pivot, rather than bend, when charged. The metal case eliminates deflections caused by charges residing on glass walls. Leaf support rod is held in place by an insulating plastic sleeve. Front and rear sides of box are made of a 10cm square glass to allow visibility and shadow projection.
