Basic Algae Set
|
Three familiar, individually identified forms of green algae are supplied in separate containers; major morphological categories are included. The set contains Volvox, an example of a nonfilamentous, motile, colony; Chlamydomonas, a motile, unicellular form; and Spirogyra, a filamentous, colonial type. Cultures are provided in plastic jars and are sufficient for 25 to 30 students.
