With all the circuit components firmly attached to robust plastic bases and the electrical connections made by reliable metal snaps, these kits are a recipe for successful elementary electronics labs! The kits contain a plastic base plate with molded bases for arranging the circuits, the necessary electronic components and connectors, color coded by function and mounted on snap bases for easy assembly and reliable contact, an illustrated instruction manual, and a compartmented storage box for easy checking.When laid out on the base, the functioning circuit resembles the conventional circuit diagram, so students can easily relate the actual circuit to the description of its function. Projects range from simple switch circuits through motors to logic circuits and IC-controlled devices. Power is provided by two AA-size batteries (not included.) Snap Circuits are available in three versions a basic version with 32 components and 101 experiments described, an Educator 100 version which also includes a teacher-designed student guide to introduce the concepts involved, and a larger Educator 300 version with 61 component, 301 experiments described, an extended student guide, and a sturdy carrying case.
