Using the Bauer-Kirby test, students measure the degree of inhibition produced by three different antibiotic disks when placed on an agar dish inoculated with three distinct microorganisms (E. aerogenes, B. cereus and S. lutea). Three Easygel dishes are inoculated with different cultures and then three different antibiotic disks are placed on each dish. Includes: Total Count Easygel medium and 24 pretreated dishes, bacterial cultures, 24 antibiotic disks each of penicillin, tetracycline and chloramphenicol and six sterile 1mL droppers.
