Neuron Model

A typical nerve cell that transmits impulses to effectors is shown by this large model of a single motor neuron. Useful in teaching the structure and mechanism of the nervous system. Many structures including dendrites, myelin, Nissl bodies, Schwann cell and others appear on the model. Portions of striated muscle and motor plate endings are shown and the axon is sectioned. Made of colored translucent and opaque fiberglass reinforced-plastics, mounted on a wooden base with an easel. The dendrites are removable for storage. Size: 29-1/2" H x 11" W x 19" D.
