CENCO LED Array CENCO LED Array

WLS1751-71      $275.09

With this interactive apparatus, you can respond to different wavelengths. Eleven LEDs spanning the visual spectrum are arranged and fixed in a durable strucure for viewing through a diffration grating you supply. When viewed in this manner, the LED Array effectively highlights the link between color and wavelength.

You can also use the apparatus to explain how LEDs generate light, lead students in calculations of wavelength for any color. The Array features connection points to allow users to measure the voltage across each individual LED. This unique capability allows students to determine Planck's Constant from the data gathered on the voltages and wavelentghs of each LED.

Using the array as a tool in Planck's constant calculations will add an interacive element to the illusive equation, therefore developing a greater understanding. Includes a teacher's guide.
