DNA Depot: What is in Our Water Kit
In what can be an enlightening experience, students gather water samples from local ponds, streams, rivers, or lakes and compare this water to the control samples included. A color based test detects coliform bacteria and reveals the levels of contamination present in each body of water. Includes materials for six experiments, as well as an experiment guide with background information, procedures, safety recommendations, and an evaluation quiz.
