Graduate Green Powered ED
|
Designed to reinforce basic knowledge of the environment, electricity, data monitoring, statistics, and theory, this versatile device allows students to use the power generated by the wind or sun in 12 V batteries then used to operate low energy lamps, pumps, and more. You can also convert the solar and/or wind energy to 240V AC for computers and low energy appliances. The system is interconnected through the graduate power monitor, which displays essential parameters such as wind and solar charge currents, load current, and battery voltage. In addition, it has a built-in, pre-calibrated signal conditioning A to D converter for direct connection to any PC parallel port. For further analysis, an anemometer, air temperature, and solar irradiation sensors are included. Use the system software for recording wind speed, light levels, temperature, wind turbine charge current, solar panel charge current, load current, and battery voltage. Data can be presented in graph or tabular form for export to Excel. The complete system includes a windcharger capable of generating 90W at 10 m/c and up to 200W; a 60W photovoltaic solar panel; graduate power monitor; weather sensor; datalogging and virtual instrument software; batteries; mounting kit; and all necessary cables and connectors. Full installation and mounting directions are also supplied. Turbine size: 910 mm dia.
