Sargent-Welch Periodic Table of the Elements
|
This large multicolored periodic table will make a welcome addition to the wall of your classroom or lab. At 42" x 58" with 7/8" high symbols, it can be easily scanned from the back of most labs. It follows IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) nomenclature—atomic weights are based on carbon 12—and both traditional and modern group and subgroup designations, A & B and 1–18. Colored frames are used to distinguish metals, non-metals and noble gases; they also distinguish light metals from brittle, ductile and low melting point heavy metals. Liquids, solids, gases and synthetic elements are also color-coded. The chart also includes tables on solubility, electronegativity, flame tests and five other areas. Our key describes the information displayed for each element. The chart is printed on very heavy paper and laminated with markable heavy plastic that will wipe clean. It is bound both top and bottom in aluminum extrusions and bears two metal eyes for hanging from the top. We ship it rolled in a heavy fiber tube. Size: 42" x 58".
