No, I didn't recommend
There were materials to build a plane, but we could never get it to fly. We had much better luck with $15-$20 planes bought off the internet.

Hello valued customer, thank you for your feedback. The Science Olympiad kits are designed to give the students an introduction to the event; a place to start. The kits are not an out-of-the-box solution to competition and the students should take the materials in the kit and apply engineering and innovation skills to make it competition ready. Please keep in mind that we are the official licensed supplier of the Science Olympiad practice kits. Although other sources may be found online, our kits were designed by the Science Olympiad Event Supervisor and are the only kits recommended by the organization.
