A corrosion cast specimen in clear resin.
- Each form is unique
- Hand prepared, not from a mold
A placenta has detailed spatial portrayal of vessel arborisation and progression. The placental villi is achieved by injecting different colored plastics in the placental vessels: red in the placental arteries and blue in the placental veins.
When the plastic has cured, all tissue is dissolved away leaving just the vessels. These casts are then embedded in plastic for protection and easy viewing, Each shape will vary, and is unique, so it will differ from the image somewhat. A great decorative and educational addition to a classroom or doctors office.
