Teachers take their students on a field trip to the amusement park within their classroom and illustrate how energy, acceleration, and speed work in popular thrill rides. With the supplies in this kit, students can assemble and operate 13 models including a motorized roller coaster, swing ride, boom ride, Ferris wheel, scrambler ride, and carousel.
All models are compatible with data-logging sensors from Vernier, Pasco, and Texas Instruments. The kit provides material for eight students with two motors. The teacher's guide facilitates inquiry activities into the physical science, math, and technology concepts related to amusement park rides.
