Chemistry of Complex Ions Kit

Give your chemistry students hands-on experience in working with a number of complex ions and reactive ligands. Materials in the kit also may be used at lower grade levels in the study of transition metals. Each experiment can be repeated 50 to 90 times. The kit includes six depression plates, one vial of ammonium sulfate crystals, and one bottle each of iron (III) nitrate, potassium hexacyanoferrate (I), potassium hexacyanoferrate (II), potassium thiocyanate, copper (II) nitrate, nickel (II) nitrate, dilute ammonium hydroxide, dimethylglyoxime (1% in ethanol) and triethanolamine. Materials included for 24 students.
