I use these spectroscopes in my 8th grade Earth Science class when discussing stellar properties. They are great as we can go around the school looking at different light sources and comparing their spectrum's. A very visual way of understanding how the chemical make-up, temperature, etc. of a star can be determined using this type of tool.
