Ward's® Feeding of a Paramecium Lab Activity
Your students will observe the ingestion and digestion processes of Paramecium caudatum

Students learn first hand how a Paramecium sweeps food into its “mouth”, by creating water currents, where it is digested in the food vacuole in a process called cyclosis. In addition to observing the feeding and digestion processes, students also stain cytoplasmic inclusions.
