- Students Gauge What Metal Heat Best
It demonstrates how five different metals—aluminum, brass, copper, nickel, and steel—conduct heat. The five rods are heated over a flame simultaneously, and students gauge what metal conducts heat best by observing how fast the wax at the tip of each rod melts.
The apparatus comes with all materials including a wax block and instructions. A required heat source is available separately.
