The Drosophila Genetics Kit lets students experience mendelian genetics in action.
- Students Explore Multiple Patterns of Inheritance
- Fascinating Genetic Mutations to Research
- Guided or Open-Inquiry
- Time Required: Four Hours over Seven to Eight Weeks
- Instructions Included
It provides a rapid and affordable classroom model for the study of genetics in living animals.
Students explore multiple patterns of inheritance by collecting data from several generations (F1, F2) and comparing several genetic crosses that illustrate gene segregation through dihybrid crosses, sex-linked inheritance, and simple monohybrid crosses.
