No, I didn't recommend
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this current specimen offering. I needed new samples of metaconglomerate for a different school. At another school, I had samples of metaconglomerate from Ward's and the samples were excellent. The batch I was sent contained clasts and a matrix that were (in my opinion) too heavily metamorphosed, making it difficult for students to discern the elongated clasts. I called Ward's and spoke with their geologist who graciously offered to hand pick different samples and send them to me at no additional cost. I am grateful for Ward's excellent customer service, but unfortunately, the both batches of samples that I received could be replaced with better specimens.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you were able to speak directly with one of our scientists. We are sorry the hand-selected metaconglomerate did not meet your expectations. Please know we are working to find a better source for our metaconglomerate.
