The abundance and diversity of microorganisms in soil is responsible for the continual recycling of common nutrients such as phosphorus, nitrogen, carbon and sulfur. Designed by teachers, this investigative kit allows serious students to observe qualitatively and quantitatively the nature and growth of various microbes in cultured soil samples over several days. Lab activities utilize techniques needed to successfully culture microbes. Enough material for 30 students working in pairs. Includes manual and student copy master.
