DNA sequencing has become essential in understanding the molecular structure and function of DNA. With this kit, students deduce the base sequence from provided data and locate a single nucleotide mutation. Six real autoradiograms (exposed sheets of X-ray film) from an actual DNA sequencing experiment are included.

The kit does not require electrophoresis. A visible light box for individual or student group viewing of autoradiograms is recommended. An overhead projector may be used for entire class viewing.
