No, I didn't recommend
We have several of these units that are over 20 years old. They work well. We ordered more and the new ones vibrate so strongly that it is impossible to see more than 3 nodes. The Tech team tried to help but their fixes were not adequate. When the metal bar vibrates it hits the unit below it and makes a horrible noise and is too rough for fine work.

Thank you for your feedback. An alternative solution that may help is to use a thicker string and tie the knot to the metal plate so it is on the bottom. This will act as a cushion when the metal plate hits the electromagnet on the base and dampen the sound, but not interfere with the performance.

  • Three Strings Can Be Used at One Time
  • Weights, a Table Clamp, and a Pulley Can Vary Tensions
